The 2026 Geumjeongsanseong Festival, celebrating the newly designated national park status of Mt. Geumjeongsan in 2026, will be held for three days from October 16 (Fri) to October 18 (Sun) at Geumjeongsanseong Plaza and the surrounding fortress area. This history, culture, and arts festival centers on Geumjeongsanseong Fortress — Busan Geumjeong-gu's signature cultural heritage and Korea's largest mountain fortress — as well as the newly designated Mt. Geumjeongsan National Park, and is held every year to commemorate the fortress's construction. Continuing a tradition that began with the Geumjeong Arts Festival in 1996, this year's Geumjeongsanseong Festival will showcase the new charms of Geumjeong through a variety of programs that blend the ecology and nature of Mt. Geumjeongsan National Park with the history and culture of the fortress.
