Gangdong Seonsa Cultural Festival

Now in its 30th year, the Gangdong Prehistoric Culture Festival is the only festival in Seoul themed around the prehistoric era. It highlights the historical value of the prehistoric archaeological site while offering a range of programs that let visitors experience the daily life of prehistoric people. This year, marking the 100th anniversary of the discovery of the Amsa-dong site in Seoul, the festival is built around the theme "6,000 Years of Breath, 100 Years of Light, 30 Years of Resonance," divided into four spaces representing the elements water, fire, earth, and wind. Each space features staging and design suited to its element, along with exhibitions, hands-on activities, nighttime programs, tasty food, and diverse performances, filling all three festival days and offering visitors a special journey between past and present.
