Ansan Daebu Grape Festival

The Ansan Daebu Grape Festival is Ansan's signature autumn festival, held every September to showcase the excellent quality of Daebu grapes, which grow sweet and fragrant thanks to the rich sea breeze and fertile soil of the West Sea coast. First held in 1995, the festival has a long history and has grown beyond a simple farm produce sale into a festival that appeals to all the senses, enjoyed by people of all ages. At the festival grounds around Daebu Dabahyanggi Theme Park, a direct farm market lets visitors buy fresh, high-quality grapes at reasonable prices with no middleman markup. A definite highlight is the grape-treading experience, where visitors stomp grapes barefoot to lively music. The festival also features celebratory performances and links up with events like the Daebu Haesol-gil Walking Festival and the Ansan Marathon, offering plenty of food and activities for a memorable time getting "drunk" on Daebu's charm.
