About
The Goseong Dinosaur World Expo is a dinosaur-themed festival held at Danghangpo Tourist Site in Hoehwa-myeon, Goseong County, South Gyeongsang Province. Goseong is famous as one of the world's three major sites for dinosaur footprint fossils, and the expo has been held since 2006 to promote the value of the large and small dinosaur fossils found across the region and boost tourism. The Danghangpo Tourist Site venue is divided into a Dinosaur Theme Zone and an Admiral Yi Sun-sin Theme Zone, along with outdoor theme parks including a coastal walking trail, a hiking trail, and a dinosaur footprint trail. The event is hosted by Goseong County, South Gyeongsang Province, and as of 2026 is run by the Goseong Culture & Tourism Foundation. The 2026 expo marks its 10th edition and 20th anniversary, held under the theme "An Exciting Adventure with Dinosaurs." Each year it features a variety of exhibitions, hands-on programs, and performances, establishing itself as Korea's leading dinosaur-themed festival.
