Korea Cheongnyeonui Nal Festival
대한민국 청년의 날 축제
About
Korea Youth Day started as a youth commemoration event proposed and led by the non-profit organization Youth and Future. From 2016, the organization held an annual Youth Day event every September to build public support for making it an official national day and to raise awareness of youth rights. Since 2017, it has been officially called the "Korea Youth Day Festival" and grown into Korea's leading youth festival. On January 9, 2020, the National Assembly passed the Framework Act on Youth, officially designating the third Saturday of September each year as Youth Day. The Korea Youth Day Festival aims to spread awareness of this day's meaning while promoting youth social participation, protecting youth rights, and energizing youth culture. This year marks the 10th anniversary of Youth Day, and the 10th Korea Youth Day Festival will be held around Gwangalli in Busan, one of Korea's top tourist destinations. The festival covers a wide range of youth-related programs, from policy promotion to culture, arts, job hunting and startups, performances, and experiential content. Highlights include a K-POP concert, a college song festival, the Korea Youth Dream Gala Concert, the Korea Youth Film Awards, the Korea Cheerleading Championship, and the Creator Awards, making it a place where young people and citizens can connect and take part together.
