Yesan Market Samguk Festival

This year marks a special milestone: the 10th anniversary of the Yesan Market Three-Kingdoms Festival and the 100th anniversary of Yesan Market itself. The festival celebrates the stories and daily life of local residents through gukbap (rice soup), guksu (noodles), and gukhwa (chrysanthemums) — three words that all start with 'guk' in Korean, giving the festival its 'Three-Guk' theme — while sending a hopeful message as the market begins its next 100 years. Ten years of festival history and the wishes of local residents will be gathered together in this 'treasure box of hope.' Under the theme 'A Story Without End,' the event unfolds through four expansions — of value, space, participation, and time — with the slogan 'Yesan Market! Our story continues,' building festive energy across the region and showcasing a festival brand created in collaboration with local young creators and youth groups. Programs will center on 10 must-do bucket-list activities, alongside a lively food culture featuring local specialties tied to the Three-Guk theme.
