About
The Andong International Mask Dance Festival is a global festival where masks carry memories and everyone comes together through dance. Visitors can experience both Korea's mask dance, listed as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, and mask dances from countries around the world all in one place. The festival also features colorful performances, parades, communal street parties, and a world mask dance competition, creating spaces for everyone to mingle and celebrate together. The 2026 edition aims to connect the history masks have carried through time with life today. When children, elders, local residents, and visitors from around the world laugh, clap, and share rhythm in the same space, the memories carried by the masks become living culture. This festival is a 'dance for everyone,' completed by the hearts that come together, and a showcase of how community shines brightest when people join in.
