About
The Jeongseon Arirang Festival is Jeongseon County's signature cultural tourism festival, held to preserve and pass on the history, cultural value, and tradition of Jeongseon Arirang, one of Korea's most iconic folk songs. The festival aims to spread awareness of Arirang's value as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, offering a mix of performances, parades, hands-on programs, exhibitions, and cultural events where tradition meets modern style, so all generations can enjoy it together. Local residents take an active role in planning and running the festival, and programs that link the area's cultural and tourism resources help boost the local economy and draw visitors.
