Boeun Jujube Festival
보은대추 축제
About
Now in its 20th year, the Boeun Jujube Festival is a leading Korean agricultural festival where visitors can find Boeun's famous premium jujubes alongside other local produce grown in the region's clean natural environment, all in one place. The 2025 festival was recognized for its outstanding management and selected as Chungcheongbuk-do's Best Designated Festival for 2026, and it has also been named the province's Best Festival for Promoting Agricultural Product Sales for three straight rounds since 2017, earning nationwide recognition. The festival highlights the history of Boeun jujubes, once offered as tribute to the king, along with their excellent quality, cementing its place as Boeun's signature festival. During the event, visitors can buy jujubes and other local produce at sales booths, as well as through an online market and a fresh jujube phone-order hotline, making it easy to purchase Boeun's agricultural products from anywhere in the country. The festival also features an opening and closing ceremony along with a variety of cultural performances and hands-on programs, offering plenty to see and do for visitors of all ages, including families, so everyone can enjoy the feel of autumn in Boeun. Through programs that connect agriculture, culture, and tourism, the festival aims to promote the excellence of local produce, attract visitors, boost the local economy, and strengthen Boeun's reputation as an autumn travel destination.
