Bupyeong Pungmul Grand Festival
부평풍물대축제
About
The 30th Bupyeong Pungmul Grand Festival marks thirty years of exuberant drumming and unity echoing through the heart of the city. Since its debut in 1997, this festival has grown from a small event into one of Korea's leading traditional culture and arts festivals, bringing lively traditional rhythms to Incheon's urban center and uniting citizens and artists alike. At its core are 22 neighborhood pungmul (traditional percussion) troupes, whose spirited performances have long served as the backbone connecting the whole community. This milestone 30th edition runs for three days from October 2 to 4, 2026, looking back on three decades of tradition while celebrating the festival's future with an especially grand and colorful program. The festival grounds will also expand to the Gulpocheon Stream area, a symbol of Bupyeong's urban renewal, offering new and varied content.
