Anyang Dance Festival

The Anyang Dance Festival runs for three days, from September 18 to 20, at Pyeongchon Central Park and Samdeok Park in Anyang. First held in 2000, this citizens' festival has grown over 23 years into Anyang's signature event, now drawing around 300,000 visitors annually and standing as a leading tourism festival in Gyeonggi Province. It's a true citizen-participation festival — made, joined, and watched by the people themselves — built around the idea of "Living Arts" in everyday life, helping form local artist communities and grow a shared cultural scene. Under the slogan "Walk, run, and dance!", the festival treats even walking and running as forms of dance, encouraging local artists and residents to express the movement and passion hidden throughout the city. Bringing together Anyang residents and visitors to dance together in the same space, it aims to become Korea's only regionally rooted K-Dance culture festival, uniting people through dance and art.
