Jisanggun Festival

The 2026 Ground Forces Festival is Korea's largest military culture festival, hosted by the Army as a non-profit public event to promote the Army's development and future policies, build public trust in the military, and spread positive awareness of it. It runs for five days, from Thursday, October 1 to Monday, October 5, at the runway of Gyeryongdae in Chungnam. Marking its 22nd edition in 2026, the festival's theme is "The Korean Army that protects citizens' everyday lives." Visitors can see exhibitions and ride experiences of the latest Korea-US combat equipment, demonstrations of Army TIGER+ and drone-bots, and check out the Army's evolving capabilities—including AI and advanced technology-based combat systems—through demonstrations, exhibits, and hands-on experiences at the Army Policy Promotion Hall. There are also a variety of high-quality military culture performances to enjoy, including military band and honor guard shows, taekwondo demonstrations, military police motorcycle stunt shows, Army performance team acts, and a road parade.
