The Chiaksan Hanwoo Festival is a leading local festival hosted by the Wonju Livestock Cooperative, built around Wonju's agricultural heritage and its 'Samto' philosophy (a local belief in the harmony of land, people, and produce). It's a festival of unity where people of all ages can join in. Visitors can learn about the excellence of premium Chiaksan hanwoo (Korean beef) raised in the region's clean natural environment, buy fresh local farm products directly, and enjoy various food experience programs, including activities designed for families. There are also hanwoo tastings, discounted sales, and stage performances featuring local arts, offering plenty to see and enjoy. Now in its 12th year, the Chiaksan Hanwoo Festival is a citizen-centered celebration held in Wonju, the heart of the Samto philosophy.
