Daejeon Junggu Book Festival

The 2026 Jung-gu Book Festival builds on the reading culture and community stories discovered at the 2025 festival, opening a second chapter that connects those stories and expands relationships across the city. This chapter, titled "Connecting with Each Other," treats Jung-gu — a district layered with long histories — like a book to be read, following the time accumulated in its alleyways, the memories left in the old downtown, people's lives, and the emotions held by the area to rediscover and connect stories already present in the district. Through books as a bridge, the festival creates a space linking people to people, places to memories, and the city to its reading culture, offering a time to share the depth of Jung-gu's stories and the possibilities of its reading culture.
