Cheongyang Chili Pepper Goji Berry Festival

The Cheongyang Pepper and Gugija (Goji Berry) Festival kicks off the start of autumn and is designed for visitors of all ages to enjoy together. It celebrates Cheongyang County's signature crops — peppers and gugija berries — with hands-on programs that engage all five senses. Highlights include a cooking show by celebrity chef Yeo Kyung-rae, a national high school cooking survival competition, a giant kimchi-making event, a gugija rice cake mosaic, and the "King of Spice Pride" contest. Food lovers can explore themed zones like the specialty food village, the spicy food and drink hall, and a food court area with plenty of booths. New this year is an expanded kids zone featuring a Catch! Teenieping performance and photo spots, a wood-craft experience area, and the local mascot characters Cheongyang-i, Cheongchorong, and Cheonghong-i. The festival also features concerts by singers Song Ga-in, Park Ji-hyun, Park Hyun-bin, and Solji, plus local talent shows, making it one of Chungcheongnam-do's premier regional festivals.
